Do you feel up for an international ocean challenge? Do you care about oceans, and all the marvelous life in the ocean?  Did you dream to spend time on Greenpeace ship documenting and confronting the plundering of the oceans by large industries? Do you want to represent Greenpeace East Asia and Chinese civil society at important international and regional negotiations to ensure the protection of ocean and marine life for today and tomorrow? If you answered “yes” to these questions, then we invite you to be a Rainbow warrior, and join Greenpeace as our new Ocean Campaigner.

Position requirements:

1.Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese language ability

2.Good understanding in international environment politics preferable related to oceans and marine environment issue or fisheries; participation in previous environment negotiations or other UN negotiations will be seen as a plus

3.Able to make incisive analysis of the complexities of ocean and fisheries  politics, and proactively collect new intelligence and react quickly  to new developments

4.Ready for international travel and able to hold discussions with an international audience, and enjoy discussing and reviewing draft negotiation texts with NGO colleagues, researchers and officials from across the world

5.Are able to assume a spokesperson role, and translate and communicate ocean, marine and fisheries negotiation jargon into clearly understood language and messages

6.Have excellent people and negotiation skills to build wider alliances with stakeholders within NGO community

7.Are familiar with China’s policy
