Position requirements:

1.Demonstrated ability to achieve campaign objectives with at least 4 years of experience in related fields;

2.Strong strategic, research and analytical abilities;

3.Demonstrated management skills;

4.Demonstrated ability to manage projects and project members to deliver objectives on time;

5.Fluency in written and spoken English and the local language of the region where the position is based;

6.Good understanding in international environment politics preferable related to oceans and marine environment issue or fisheries;

7.Able to make incisive analysis of the complexities of ocean and fisheries  politics, and proactively collect new intelligence and react quickly  to new developments

8.Ready for international travel and able to hold discussions with an international audience, and enjoy discussing and reviewing draft negotiation texts with NGO colleagues, researchers and officials from across the world

9.Are able to assume a spokesperson role, and translate and communicate ocean, marine and fisheries negotiation jargon into clearly understood language and messages

10.Have excellent people and negotiation skills to build wider alliances with stakeholders within NGO community

11.Are familiar with China’s policy

In addition the above requirements, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be in an advantageous position for consideration:

1.Have connections to China’s oceans, marine and fisheries policy making or research circles

2.Prior legal, international relations, political science, economics or environment science education or work experience
