CSIRO Process Science and Engineering are seeking to appoint a highly motivated graduate who will be responsible for initiating work on the electrochemical transformation of CO2, a project that will expand as support from collaborating organizations begins to flow. This step will involve studying the prior literature with a particular emphasis on the three approaches considered most prospective by the collaborators: direct electrochemical reduction of CO2, indirect electrochemical reduction by an electrochemically generated reactant, and photoelectrochemical reduction. You will identify effective methods for high throughput screening of combinations of homogeneous and heterogeneous electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion, and design the experimental procedures necessary for the experiments. More specifically you will:
Location: Clayton, VIC Salary: AU$78K - $85K per annum plus up to 15.4% superannuation Ref No: VIC12/03322 Tenure: 3 years You will be mentored by senior scientists as part of CSIRO’s Postdoctoral Fellows Program which aims to train early career scientists for a research role. You will be expected to communicate the outcomes of your research through presentation of results at national and international conferences and publications in relevant scientific journals.
