We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research leading to a high-throughput screening of transformation products of organic micropollutants, especially pharmaceuticals and personal care products in the environment. This research is part of our research program on Contaminant Chemistry and Ecotoxicology delivering to CSIRO’s Water for a Healthy Country Flagship.
Specifically you will:
- Design and conduct research on environmental fate of micropollutants
- Perform trace analysis of pharmaceuticals and other xenobiotics in a range of complex matrices using chromatographic & high resolution mass spectrometric techniques
- Perform computational predictions of micropollutants interactions in the environment
Location: Waite campus, Adelaide
Salary: $75K-$82K plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: 3 years
Ref No: SA01106
To be successful you will have :
- A PhD in organic chemistry / pharmacology / environmental science or in a related field
- Demonstrated research experience in environmental fate of pharmaceuticals or pharmacology or related field
- Hands-on experience in analytical chemistry using high resolution mass spectrometry.
- Demonstrated competence in structure-based environmental fate prediction computation models/tools.
