Oak openings restoration assistants will perform land restoration and management activities at the Kitty Todd Preserve in Swanton, Ohio. This may include tree removal, litter clean-ups, and weed control using herbicide. He/she will be responsible for preparation and maintenance of equipment used in these management activities. This is a full time (35-40 hours per week), short term (3 month) position beginning in mid-May 2013 and set to end in August 2013. This work involves extensive outdoor physical labor in diverse weather conditions and may require working some weekends. The Oak Openings Restoration Assistants will not supervise any staff but may help direct volunteers. Applicants must be self-starters and willing to be flexible in their work schedule. TNC
