Primary Responsibilities:
- Work in SCA’s NYC field office to assist with interviewing crew leaders and coordinating conversation crew projects for crews
- Communicating with crew members and managing SCA’s gear and tool cache
- Assist with planning and leading elements of crew leader training and closing ceremonies.
- Act as a liaison with agency partners and crew leaders
- Rove crews and complete field safety audits and program evaluations
- Plan weekly Environmental Education Field Days
- Serve as an alternate crew leader if needed
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must have ability to legally work in the US
- Previous Project Management experience preferred and with conservation skills that may include trail maintenance construction
- Knowledge of outdoor tools and gear maintenance
- Microsoft Office Suite skills required
- Excellent organizational and communication skills necessary
- Proven ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
- Experience working with land management agencies
- Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required
- Ability to meet SCA’s criminal background check standards
- Must have personal housing arrangements in program city
Compensation: Pay based on $650/week for 40 hours. Daily public transportation costs covered. Days off and part-time schedule could be worked out.
