Greenpeace, the world's leading environmental organization, is seeking passionate volunteer interns who are ready to join the fight to close Vermont Yankee and implement a clean energy future. Vermont's aging nuclear power plant is scheduled to close in 2012 and the state senate voted overwhelmingly to shut it down. However, the reactor's Louisiana-based owner, Entergy, is suing the state of Vermont and trying to run this dangerous plant beyond its closure date. Vermont Yankee has been plagued by safety breakdowns and mismanagement, and we have the safe energy to replace its output.
We are organizing throughout the state to show public support for closing Vermont Yankee. Our interns play a critical administrative support role to make this work happen. SkillsGreenpeace interns are driven, outgoing, reliable, fast-learners, and passionate about the environment. ResponsibilitiesInterns will assist with critical interactive research, administrative work, and logistics to support our campaign. Tasks will include:

LocationInterns will work from home, but need to be available for regular meetings in Burlington, Vermont.
