The Student Conservation Association (SCA), America’s #1 conservation service organization seeks a Regional Coordinator for our NorthWest regional office based in Seattle, Washington.  This role oversees the operational and information systems of the office and coordinates key external communications to build a larger, more connected constituency for the region.  Reports to the Regional Vice President

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to engage key constituents in the mission of SCA which includes writing various communications and working with SCA’s database.
  • Oversee the operations of the office including office space, vehicles, furniture, office supplies, telephones and IT.  Acts as liaison with human resource, finance and IT staff.
  • Support building relationships with elected officials in the region by developing and maintaining methods to keep them updated on SCA activities
  • Lead planning and coordination of SCA’s annual Earth Day event and organize other SCA events as needed
  • Monitor budget and expense for office
  • Provide support to the regional Vice President as needed and requested.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years progressively responsible administrative experience required; office management experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or marketing preferred
  • 3 -4 years proven presentation experience
  • Proven event planning and coordination experience required
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills required
  • Excellent MSOffice experience and skills necessary
  • Budgeting/fiscal management experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required
  • Must pass SCA’s criminal background check standards
