The Student Conservation Association (SCA), a national force of conservation volunteers, seeks a Placement Coordinator for our Admissions team located in Charlestown NH. This is a temporary, seven (7) month, position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assure maximum success of the placement process of SCA applicants into conservation internship positions in the Northeast quadrant of the United States and Corps Programs
  • Deliver timely and high-quality customer service, with a specific focus on coordinating regular email and phone communication to applicants, partners and SCA staff members
  • Screen and review applicants for site placements
  • Participate on the Northeast Regional Team and communicate regional trends to all relevant staff
  • Update regional tracking spreadsheet on a daily basis and applicant information as needed
  • Work closely with Conservation Intern (CI) Operations to develop a site communications plan and follow up strategy and to ensure that selections are processed in a timely manner and sites are retained

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree with significant additional course work relevant to specific field; or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years experience in customer service
  • Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills
  • Strong data entry and experience in using Access, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to handle seasonal variations in workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self motivated with good organizational skills
  • Very strong time management skills and the ability and desire to perform multiple and variable tasks
