Job Description

Nanosolar, Inc is seeking an outgoing Sales Account Manager to eagerly pursue new deals and convert project opportunities to expand our sales reach in the U.S. The Sales Account Manger will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing sales opportunities through collaborative project development, strategic project acquisition, and assisted partner development activities. 
The idea candidate will have an understanding of the U.S. Regulated and Unregulated Utility business, the IPP business, and the PV Power Plant Project Development business. He or she must understand the development phase, permitting and construction phase, and the financing and capital structuring of utility-scale PV Power Plants, and possess the financial acumen to run project based financial analyses and present to customers and managers. 
This position is geared towards a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment; capable of seeking out new relationships aggressively to build solid partnerships with new accounts and within new market segments. Candidates with a methodical approach to data analysis, customer needs assessment skills, and a passion for solar expansion will be most successful in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Responsible for prospecting and opening new business for assigned territory and meeting sales targets established by the company:
• Qualify opportunities by understanding customer needs, budgets, competitive products, etc. 
• Build a sales generation plan and report periodic results against the plan
• Create leads by researching, cold calling, and other outbound activities
• Aggressively review and stay abreast of market trends and company product improvements
• Meet quarterly sales goals and sales pipeline metrics
• Research and analyzing target IPPs and EPCs, and developing tactical execution plans for coverage of assigned accounts and/or market segments 
• Qualify new prospects and performing customer needs assessments that map to Nanosolar’s strengths

Job Requirements
• Strong technical background, and experience in high-tech marketing or product management is an advantage
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work effectively on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business relationships quickly and to close business on plan
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills 
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to perform and interpret financial analysis and provide appropriate data and information 
• Ability to demonstrate photovoltaic industry expertise, and to understand and communicate financials objectives and transactions

Minimum Qualifications
• Proven track record of successful lead generation or sales analyst role, growing into a sales account manager
• 3+ years experience as a sales analyst, lead generation specialist or sales account manager
• B.A./B.S. in a technical or financial discipline 
• Fluency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and a CRM system is preferred
• Formal training programs in sales, communication, negotiations and/or energy related products and services preferred
Compensation is competitive and may include base salary, performance and equity components.
