Greenpeace Nordic consists of four offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Oslo. We currently employ 95 staff working in all four locations. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of HR work in close cooperation with the Senior Management Team and Line Managers.

The main purpose of the position is to provide HR services to the organisation under the direction of the Executive Director and in line with global HR priorities and to ensure best practice in HR and personnel issues in the entire organisation. You are expected to provide support to line managers and team leaders on all levels and in all four countries as well as advise on legal and policy issues.

This is a temporary position to replace our HR Manager during her maternity leave for a period of fourteen months from November 2009. The position is placed in Stockholm. Regular travels to our other offices in Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki and to the Greenpeace International Office in Amsterdam are to be expected.

The nature of our organisation means that we are looking for a committed individual, sympathetic to our aims. You are a self-starter and motivated with a good portion of common sense and a good problem solver. As parts of the function are administrative it is of utmost importance that you are thorough and detailed in your way of working. Good social and communication skills as well as strict confidentiality and professionalism are essential.

Applicants must be in possession of EU work and residency permits.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Professional qualification in Human Resource Management
• At least 3 years of applied relevant experience
• Good working knowledge of Swedish Employment Law
• Knowledge of Finnish, Danish and Norwegian Employment Law highly desirable
• Experience of leading recruitment processes
• Experience of working for a non-profit organisation desirable
• Fluency in written and spoken Swedish or any other Nordic language
• Fluency in written and spoken English
