What is a King’s Internship?
King’s College London is working with The Careers Group, University of London and STEP Enterprise Ltd to deliver an internship scheme focused on placing King’sstudents and recent graduates into paid internships in a variety of sectors.

Building on the success of our established Step Internship scheme we have created an internship programme
where employers only have to pay the interns allowance, which can range from £217-£300 a week, while The Careers Group makes the most of its recruitment expertise to find you the best and brightest students and graduates from King’s completely free of charge!

An internship can be for a period of at least 8 weeks, and a maximum of 26 weeks. Through a unique arrangement with HMRC the payment to interns is not subject to tax or NI.

Why King’s?
King’s consistently features in the top league tables, confirming its position as one of the most prestigious and well respected providers of higher education in the UK. As one of the Russell Group universities, King’s is committed to the highest levels of academic excellence in both teaching and research.
The increasingly close relationships between Careers & Employability and the academic departments means that employability skills are being emphasized within degree courses, giving you the opportunity to meet ambitious, work-ready graduates from King’s College.

Why take on an intern?
Taking on an intern is an increasingly popular way for employers to introduce new talent to their organisation for a particular project or business development. The scheme allows you to trial run a talented and motivated graduate seeking experience in your sector with minimum bureaucracy.

How can we help?
King's Careers @ Employability, working with The Careers Group, will manage the whole recruitment process, from advertising, sifting, and pre-screening, to arranging interviews, creating contracts and the intern will even be on our payroll!

With
qualified and experienced staff, and excellent access to bright young talent, we will relieve you of the burdensome administration and bureaucracy of a short-term hire and find you the right person for your company.
