About Forum for the Future

Forum for the Future is an independent, global non-profit with a 20 year track record in driving sustainable change.

Our mission is to accelerate the big shift to a sustainable future. We aim to transform the critical systems that we all depend on, such as food and energy, to make them fit for the challenges of the 21st century. We have a proven track record of inspiring new thinking, building creative partnerships, and developing practical innovations to change our world.

Where does this role sit within the organisation?

Our Network is made up of a global community of leaders united by their ambition and capacity to create a real and lasting change. Our Network members are at the forefront of sustainability, or have an ambition to get there – fast. Our Network unites these leaders to spot future opportunities, learn, collaborate and innovate – together.

This is a challenging, high impact role in the Communications and Networks team, tasked with articulating and implementing a clear vision and growth strategy for Forum’s Network as a vibrant community of system innovators for sustainability, in line with our organisation's mission.

What will the Network Manager do?

Engaging and influencing across the whole organisation, the Network Manager will work with delivery teams to help members unlock new opportunities for sustainable impact, personally managing around twenty members, and ensure the ongoing relevance and competitiveness of Forum’s membership proposition across all our international markets. Accountable for monitoring progress towards the annual Network income target, this role will actively help grow the membership base.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a dynamic, creative and persuasive individual, with demonstrably high levels of collaboration, interpersonal and influencing skills, and a strong service mentality. The successful candidate will be a ‘big picture’ strategic thinker who understands the potential of communities/networks for change, can articulate a clear vision of how our Network can develop, and make it happen. They will also have some working knowledge of the sustainability opportunities facing businesses and other organisations.

The successful candidate will understand our values and mission, and have demonstrable relevant experience in:

  • developing and marketing an international membership proposition tailored to local markets
  • business development or sales
  • CRM segmentation
  • relationship management
  • developing a members’ activities programme
  • line management.
