Background

The officer will be working with Environmental Services and with the Neighbourhoods team within Milton Keynes Council, moving towards a more sustainable and community led future.

Neighbourhood Management MK is a new approach to local service delivery that enables local communities, stakeholders and service providers to work together at a neighbourhood level to improve local service delivery and the quality of life through engagement, communication, prioritisation and choice.

Objective

To support the delivery ofMilton Keynes’ community engagement work: helping to research, plan and deliver engagement projects and initiatives. Coordinate and develop the work of the Parish Forum. To strengthen the performance management work of the environmental service and neighbourhood management team.

Output 1

To enable the Parish Forum & Safer Neighbourhoods Delivery Group (NAGs) to function successfully through coordination, organisation and communication with stakeholders.

Output 2

Research, plan and deliver projects and initiatives within Neighbourhood Services.

Output 3

To respond to daily service enquiries; monitoring and follow up of ongoing local concerns;  data management and maintenance of key relationships.

Output 4

To support the neighbourhood management service through this crucial service redesign period.

Key Task 1

To assist and co-ordinate the development of meeting papers; to produce the notes of meetings; to action the relevant points and maintain key partnership relations.

Key Task 2

To develop and coordinate specific projects and initiatives.

Key Task 3

To action relevant matters relating to service enquiries and manage data as and when required.

Key Task 4

To undertake relevant work in line with delivering on the service redesign of neighbourhood services.
