Nature Rocks Program GLOBE Intern

The Nature Conservancy’s Marketing Department is seeking an intern for the Nature Rocks program. The Nature Rocks program was founded on research proving that spending time in nature leads to happier, healthier and smarter children, and provides parents with reasons and resources to spend time with their kids out in nature. The program supports The Nature Conservancy’s goal of broadening the global constituency for conservation by providing a channel through which we connect and share the Conservancy’s broader mission with parents, and by growing the number of children that spend time in, and grow up valuing, nature.

We are seeking an intern to contribute to content generation, promotion and outreach for the Nature Rocks program. The intern may be responsible for research and generating content for a variety of communications vehicles related to the Nature Rocks program. This may include:

•  Developing content for and formatting Nature Rocks newsletters and/or seasonal activity guides
• Researching and reporting on the theme of the benefits of nature for children
• Developing/writing other content for the website
• Web production for the Nature Rocks website
• Sharing content for social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, blog outreach, etc.)
• Other projects as assigned

The intern will be located at the Conservancy’s worldwide office in Arlington, VA.
