Description

We are embarking on an exciting journey of transformational change with a new Bird Conservation Strategy (2022 – 2032) and our organisational effectiveness strategy is a key enabling strategy to ensure BirdLife can reach its full potential and deliver the Bird Conservation Strategy priorities.

As we expand and grow our organisation, we continue to develop our portfolio and implement new programs that will help us achieve our strategic goals. We now have an exciting new opportunity for a Nature-Climate Solutions Manager to lead our participation in the evolving carbon and biodiversity markets.

YOU WILL DO THIS BY

  • Developing and executing our business strategy and program;
  • Implementing carbon and biodiversity outcomes across all organisational programs and projects;
  • Building relationships with strategic partners; and
  • Developing robust standards for impact measurement and evaluation
  • Building partnerships with sophisticated buyers and stakeholders and facilitate the co-design and delivery of collaborative projects

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM

To thrive in this role, you will be a strategic thinker and have an entrepreneurial approach to your work and the ability to drive growth within this space. You will have previous experience in successfully implementing business ventures and climate project development.

Importantly, you will have a strong understanding of Accounting for Nature standards and its importance to offer ‘premium’ market-based products.

You will be a passionate and solution-driven individual with strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively engage with stakeholders to help achieve goals consistent with BirdLife’s strategic plans.
