Description

At Natural England, we advise the UK Government on the natural environment. We’re here to make sure people and nature can thrive. From advising farmers on sustainable land management, to gathering and analysing environmental data, and promoting health and wellbeing through the great outdoors, we love what we do. Join us and you’ll be part of an inclusive, motivated and ambitious team, committed to achieving results for our environment, for everyone.

Getting the best from our people is all about good management and, as a Team Leader, you’ll be the frontline, supporting others in their delivery and personal development.  From ensuring health and safety, to managing workload and performance, you’ll lead by example and inspire, motivate and develop the people around you.  A coach, a mentor, a guide, and a communicator, you’ll be the first point of contact for ideas and issues, and a key player in when it comes to creating positive change.

We’re looking for people who have the experience or potential to lead and manage others.  We’ll expect evidence that you know how to set clear plans and expectations, deliver work to meet agreed targets, address challenging issues with integrity, and create an inclusive and trusting team environment.

We welcome and encourage applications from all communities and, wherever possible, we accommodate requests for both full and part-time hours and other flexible working patterns. Everyone at Natural England is supported to develop their skills and capabilities. You can also look forward to great benefits including a Civil Service pension.

If you’re inspired to protect and enhance England’s wildlife, and want to work for a leading science-led organisation, please apply here.
