As National Project Coordinator -  Ethiopia (NPC) you will:

? Contribute to the implementation of INBAR’s EC-funded project by providing coordination in Ethiopia, specifically

  • Coordinating the project activities in Ethiopia together with partners and associates
  • Being responsible for the financial and technical planning and implementation of the project in Ethiopia
  • Monitoring progress of the project in Ethiopia
  • Developing the annual workplan for the project in Ethiopia
  • Reporting on progress and outputs to the project manager

? Supervise the staff of the national project management unit in Ethiopia

? Foster collaboration and synergy with other organizations and partners outside INBAR

? Provide  specific expertise in the fields of economics, international trading systems and business development to INBAR and ensure that this expertise stays up to date

? Carry out activities within other INBAR projects as appropriate

? Contribute to INBAR’s public relations with governments, EC and other international organization and NGOs

Experience and qualifications

? At least 10 years relevant international project management experience 

? Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Amharic and proven drafting ability

? Intercultural mentality and ability to work with/manage teams

? Strong interpersonal and networking skills

? Knowledge of natural resource, biomass energy and SME development

? Ability and willingness to travel to project sites, including rural areas

The successful candidate will be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and report to the Project Manager at the INBAR secretariat in Beijing, China. A competitive salary will be provided. He/she will be appointed for an initial period of one year, renewable/extendable up to a total of 4 years based on performance and availability of funds.
