  National Director of Development
National Headquarters - Memphis, Tennessee

Ducks Unlimited is the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to conserving North America’s continually disappearing waterfowl habitats. Established in 1937, Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 12 million acres thanks to contributions from more than a million supporters across the continent. Guided by science and dedicated to program efficiency, DU works toward the vision of wetlands sufficient to fill the skies with waterfowl today, tomorrow, and forever. Ducks Unlimited just completed a very successful comprehensive continental campaign. When this campaign was launched seven years ago, it was the single largest conservation campaign in the world. Although the campaign goal was $1.7 billion, Ducks Unlimited raised $1.88 billion.

The Ducks Unlimited 2012 Fiscal Year budget identifies $76.3 million in philanthropic revenue. This amount is split among DU’s Grassroots fundraising program that encompasses over 120 full-time staff members who work collaboratively with 60,000 volunteers to execute 4,300 fundraising events annually; DU’s Major Sponsor Development program that includes 29 staff members who also work with State Major Gift Committees and other volunteers to recruit and steward over 7,800 major donors and planned gifts; a direct response membership and fundraising program; and a foundation relations, corporate relations, and royalty program. Although there are four separate components to DU’s fundraising program, they interrelate in numerous ways.
