Engineering oversight of assigned production equipment(s) in 24/7 manufacturing facility by implementing robust solutions to resolve equipment issues, and driving Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Develop, project manage and integrate new world-class 24/7 equipment to ramp factory production by partnering with industry leading OEMs, and internal engineering teams. Commercialize R&D projects by designing and building prototype equipment to demonstrate manufacturing viability.
Job Requirements • Specifying and designing industrial grade equipment with embedded controllers, power distribution, sensor integration and mechanical packaging. • Commercialize processes via equipment design and implementation to be capable of 24/7 manufacturing. • Constantly study and evaluate the equipment performance and its process capability • Establish programs and implement solutions to increase the OEE • Project planning and execution • Enjoys hands-on approach to debugging and troubleshooting. Find root cause and document failures. • Ability to proactively work in a collaborative environment with multiple functions, achieving complex goals • Takes initiative to challenge the status quo in positive ways. • A self-starter with a high degree of energy, initiative, and drive to “make things happen.” Consistently delivers on commitments and stretch goals • Ability to create drawings/interconnect diagrams in AutoCAD. • Familiarity with formal documentation release processes, ie: Agile.
Minimum Qualifications • BS/MS in EE or similar and min 3 Years of industry experience • Experienced in PLC programming, especially with Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi products. • Experienced in vision systems, ie: Cognex or Keyence. • Experience with test & measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, and function generators. • Equipment design according to safety guidelines like NFPA. • Experience with motion control, and related hardware: motion controllers, servo systems, sensors.
