Across Australia and the Pacific, we've got a beautiful climate, rich oceans, vast forests and healthy food. But the realities of climate change put all of this is at threat.

Greenpeace is a movement that takes action to protect our natural home, now and for the future. We investigate and expose environmental abuse, hold decision-makers accountable, promote effective solutions and inspire others to create positive change.

About the role:

This is a new role at Greenpeace Australia Pacific. You’ll work with an amazing team of campaigners, volunteers and activists to make powerful and effective video and image content.

About You:

You’re a content maker who wants to create things that change the world for the better. You know what the climate crisis will mean for people and planet, and you want to do something about it.

You can shoot, cut and edit footage, you can animate and illustrate, and you feel at home in Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

You understand campaigning, and how good content can change real world outcomes.

You can write words that affect and move the people who read them.

You know how to manage your time with multiple projects on the boil, while keeping an eye out for the crucial details in each piece.

You work best in time pressure environments, and like solving problems creatively.

You’re a team player, and do your best work when working with others. You’ll know how to create content that respects and celebrate the diverse Greenpeace community across Australia and the Pacific.

You know how to keep a budget spreadsheet up to date (there is no exciting way to put this).

Greenpeace particularly encourages applications from people with a variety of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

What We Can Offer You

As part of the Greenpeace team, you’ll be working with campaigners, volunteers and activists to fight the worst impacts of climate change, hold big polluters and governments to account, save the world’s forests and natural habitats.

Greenpeace is a supportive, safe working environment and a genuine work/life balance. We would be committed to your personal development, with great opportunities for workplace learning and career progression.

We also offer:

  • Opportunities to voluntarily participate in the work of our campaign teams, including public actions
  • Access to information about Greenpeace's activities occurring all around the world, and, depending upon your role, opportunities to participate in national and international meetings and activities
  • The independence and scope to experiment, innovate and advance the aims of the team
