Salary: The Consultant will invoice the MSC monthly at an agreed contract rate. Pre-approved travel and expenses related directly to achieving the aims of the contract will be reimbursed but this will not cover the provision of office space or ancillary support, which is the sole responsibility of the consultant. Overview
The MSC is seeking a part-time, Moscow-based consultant to work on outreach in support of MSC fisheries work in the Russian Federation. Several fisheries in Russia are currently engaged in the MSC program and the consultant will focus primarily on working with those fisheries, as well as building broader recognition and support for the MSC as part of the MSC’s strategic plan. The work includes developing relationships with current and potential fishery clients, accredited certification bodies, fisheries managers, academics, government officials, fishery and seafood organizations, processors, interested conservation organizations and other stakeholders. The scope also includes some general communications work such as monitoring media exposure of the MSC in Russia, responding to media if necessary and translation of certain MSC materials.
