Description

The Manager Baltic (MB) will report to the Manager Northern Europe and will work in collaboration with the other members of the Europe Team and MSC head office, to deliver a consistent approach to the MSC target markets. The focus will be on development of the MSC in Sweden, but the MB will also be responsible for dealing with stakeholders from Denmark, Finland, Poland, and the Baltic republics. The MB will liase with the Country Manager Germany on work in Northern Germany.

The post will be responsible for high level outreach to the fishery, supply chain and market, as well as public sector in the these countries, promoting the MSC brand and increasing the support for the programme across a broad range of interest groups including; fisheries and supply chain stakeholders, government representatives, retailers and foodservice companies, partners in the NGO community. The MB will manage a team of three that will assist him/her with the delivery of the programmes objectives.

Outreach involves presentations, workshops, press conferences, interviews, relationship building and promoting the MSC concept and certification programme to potential partners. The MB will operate as spokesperson for the MSC in the Baltic Region, building Media and PR relations, developing and executing a communication strategy to build consumer awareness of the MSC.

Ultimately the postholder will strive to increase the credibility of the MSC and the purchasing opportunities for consumers, by achieving wider availability across the Baltic markets of MSC-certified and labelled product.
