OverviewReporting to the Manager Baltic (MB), the Commercial Officer Baltic (COB) has the exciting role of taking the MSC’s message to our audiences in Sweden in support of the SBM and the Manager Northern Europe. Utilising his/her creative and organisational skills, the post holder will contribute to a diverse range of activities to promote the MSC’s mission and ensure successful delivery of the commercial outreach and communications strategy. Main activitiesActivities will include among others: • developing and maintaining relationships with retailers, national brands, and private label suppliers in Sweden. • advising on sustainability policies of retailers, foodservice companies and suppliers. • encouraging companies to seek chain of custody certification (CoC) and to sign a logo licensing agreement. • coordination and organisation of marketing and communications campaigns with Swedish retailers and their suppliers. • coordination of translations, and maintenance of MSC scheme and promotional documents. • development, organise, host CoC workshops for retail staff in Sweden. • continued development, maintenance, of the MSC Sweden website. • coordination of events, including PR events and supply chain workshops. • development of relations and communication to the Swedish media (press releases, press trips, editing of materials). • development and production of quarterly newsletter. • answering to web inquiries from Swedish speaking audiences. • tracking and monitoring the press uptake of the MSC in Sweden. • maintenance of the contacts database for Sweden. The post holder is expected to provide support to the Sweden and Baltic Manager and Manager Northern Europe in planning trips logistics and accommodation, as well as administration of the trips. The COB will form a part of the MSC’s European team, and will work in close cooperation with the communications teams based in London and the United States. |
