Overview

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) seeks a Commercial Manager for its Americas Regional team.  MSC is the world’s leading certification and eco-labeling program for wild capture fisheries. Through its certification and labelling program, the MSC contributes to reversing decline in global fish stocks by identifying and rewarding and creating marketing incentives for sustainable fisheries.

Reporting to the Commercial Director – Americas, this Commercial Manager position is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with large and complex foodservice distribution companies for the MSC Americas’ commercial outreach program.  In general, this refers to the top companies in each of these segments: chain restaurant, broad line distribution and contract catering.  Experience with and understanding of large foodservice companies is crucial as the role will require delivering value in areas of sales, training, marketing, and supply chain support. Successful outcomes will include new large partners with MSC Chain of Custody certification, increased purchasing and sales of MSC-certified and labeled products, and increased consumer awareness through foodservice outlets.  There is also responsibility for some processor, distributor and other foodservice partner outreach and support.
