Description

Purpose: To gather and collate baseline data on international deforestation rates to support the implementation of the Size of Wales Monitoring and Evaluation Framework.

Main tasks: 
• To identify available sources of data on international deforestation rates.
• Compile results from identified sources
• Design and produce record keeping system and produce summary statistics
• Completion may lead to additional opportunities, including sourcing and analysis of Landsat images of localised and national forest coverage and first hand records from our partners.

Would suit:
• A biological or environmental science student, particularly one with an interest in M&E.
• A competency in web based research, and excel (or similar) would be ideal.
