Key activities for this role will include assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of the Monitoring and Evaluation system related to the MSC certification programme and development of policy to increase accessibility of developing world fisheries to the MSC programme. This may involve supporting the Monitor and Evaluation Manager, Developing World Fisheries Programme Manager and other Standards staff in researching and analysing background fisheries and chain of custody material, collecting and analysing internal and external data, and engaging in research and writing of internal reports and peer-reviewed articles. Skills RequiredThe ideal candidate will have a University degree in a natural sciences subject with a significant component of numerical analysis and experience in developing metrics for monitoring and evaluation, including data collection and management and statistical analysis and research. It will be highly desirable that the candidate demonstrates an understanding of fisheries management, marine conservation biology or marine environmental management.
