The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist II will be responsible for the reporting and quantifying of direct and indirect program results and will maintain the monitoring and evaluation systems and tools defined under the Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP) to facilitate adaptive management. S/he will define data collection and monitoring and evaluation methodologies (together with permanent Rainforest Alliance M&E division); assist in the development of baseline surveys and intermediate results surveys as required; anticipate issues related to quantifying performance plan targets and take the necessary and appropriate action to ensure the program meets its reporting objectives; and maintain the project database to include milestones and targeted results. S/he will be responsible for coordinating with all project staff to facilitate project adaptive management and ongoing learning, and will provide information required for the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports required by donors and development of written “success stories” as appropriate.
