Module Manufacture Process Engineer, Shanghai, China

My client is one of the worlds largest solar companies, they both develop solar PV plants and manufacture the components at multiple sites worldwide. They are currently looking for an experienced process engineer with specific experience in solar PV module manufacturing process and the tools associated with it..

Position Overview:

My client is looking for a strong candidate with solar PV module process engineering experience. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and solar cell and module supply, in addition to this, you will be coordinating the Asia resources with the global engineering team in Europe and will be an actively involved in the design of manufacturing line upgrades and the integration of such upgrades

Responsibilities:

• ·         Support the technology transfer of new process into the manufacturing line
• ·         Assist the procurement team in the acquisition of new equipment
• ·         Conduct in depth analysis of the production lines to highlight both positive and negative points
• ·         Conduct regular inspection of the production lines
• ·         Be an integral member in defining process and technology developments
• ·         Assist HSSE in the design of manufacturing lines and conduct safety analysis for the life cycle of the production line
• ·         Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) for the manufacturing lines to assess efficiency.
• ·         Ensure that all activities are in compliance with legal requirements, regulations and ethical standards

Education:

Must be educated to Degree level or higher in Engineering, Physics, Science or related field

Core Requirements:

• ·         5-7 years experience in the solar manufacturing industry
• ·         Must have a proven track record in innovating new concepts and implementing them into production lines
• ·         Must be an effective communicator to bring their ideas to the table for consideration
• ·         Must speak fluent Mandarin and English
• ·         Will be an innovative and competent individual

General Requirements:

• ·         Will be based in Shanghai
• ·         Will display leadership attributes and have experience in collaborating with international teams
