Description

The Project Officer will focus on policy-making and implementation in areas related to mercury policies at EU and global level.  Work will include involvement in implementation and follow up of relevant legislation relating to the EU mercury strategy, the mercury export ban, measuring devices, lamps, the chlor-alkali industry, etc. The work may also expand to global policies at UNEP level.

The Project Officer will report to the Project Coordinator of the ‘Zero Mercury Campaign’
The position is 3 days per week (24 hours), initially until end June 2011, with the possibility to be extended. Contracting conditions are negotiable, on a salary or contract basis.
