Our Vision – Our vision is a tertiary education sector where the principles and values of environmental, economic and social sustainability are embedded

Our Mission – The EAUC will lead, inspire and support Members and stakeholders with a shared vision, knowledge and the tools they need to embed sustainability and facilitate whole institution change through the involvement of everyone in the institution

Success in growing our membership over recent years means that we need a Member Engagement Officer to deliver growth in new areas and ensure we continue to deliver an excellent service to existing members. We are seeking a talented membership professional with a strong track record of planning and delivering impressive membership growth within the voluntary or private sector.

Objective

This is an exciting role that will support the recently implemented Member Journey which is designed to ensure we create long lasting relationships with our members and demonstrate member value at every touch point.

You will support a series of contacts with members on various stages of their membership cycle. You will help to develop a strong feedback programme ensuring the insight obtained is raised to the highest level, lead the follow up process right through to delivery of the service. You will continually develop this process and report on its progress.

Benefits of this opportunity

The appointee will take on a wide range of challenging activities drawing on a range of skills and provide essential drive and support to members, contacts, its employees and trustees. The Membership Engagement Officer will report and be accountable to the Membership and Communications Manager and will deliver and contribute to wider Association activities and targets. This role will offer the post-holder a greater understanding of environmental and sustainability needs of Universities and Colleges, and how to enable these Members to benefit from the EAUC’s services.

The candidate will also benefit from gaining real experience of working in a busy and dynamic office with real opportunity to develop their creative input into communications and marketing material, as well as the skills in project and programme management, and an opportunity to devise and follow through their solutions within a busy institution.

The successful graduate will have opportunities to learn about being a team player, developing communication skills in different mediums and will gain project management skills including budgeting, planning, implementing and evaluating.
