The Job

You will be a part of Kent Wildlife Trust’s Membership and Fundraising Directorate helping the trust to increase income and drive membership acquisition and retention. This post will primarily offer support for the membership team who are working to drive the membership programme forward. It’s a vital and exciting role supporting the delivery, management and growth of our membership programme, which is at the heart of the trusts supporter activity.

You’ll play a key role in building relationships with our members, driving income for the trust and sharing opportunities to invest in nature for businesses and individuals in Kent and beyond. You will support the creation, delivery and evaluation of membership activities as well as offering administrative support to the online shop and fundraising teams.

This is a post which will use a broad mixture of skills built on wide, hands-on experience.  The qualities of the individual appointed to the post will play a large part in determining the nature of the job.

You will

  • Be extremely organised and able to ensure that day-to-day processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Have the ability to communicate with and enthuse people of all ages and backgrounds through multiple channels including the phone and through email.
  • Have a sound understanding of membership programmes with particular experience in acquisition or retention strategies.
  • Have proven experience of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners to achieve a positive outcome
  • Enjoy a data-lead approach and the ability to interpret and suggest achievable actions from those reports.
  • Possess a high level of written English.
  • Have an understanding or experience of membership and online shop tools such as Raiser’s Edge or ECWID.
  • Have great enthusiasm and ability to research and reporting on findings to help monitor and compare our performance.
  • Have experience using CRM systems, Raiser's Edge NXT would be a bonus, and/or confidence inputting data into a database system.
  • Have confidence using Microsoft Excel to format and filter data, ready for inputting into a CRM system.
