The Ramblers is looking for a highly skilled Membership acquisition Officer.  This is a marketing, business development, sales role where you will be expected to help grow the Ramblers membership base across all categories of membership through the employment of a wide breadth of recruitment tactics.  This position is part of the Services division reporting to the Head of Recruitment and Retention.

Essential Requirements include:

  • Skilled researcher, able to profile potential and existing audiences

  • Ability to monitor expenditure budgets and track income

  • Competent in the use of CRM database for relationship management, lead generation and conversion

  • Competence in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proven experience of creating pipeline leads and converting sales

  • Proven experience of creating recruitment journeys across a range of channels

  • Experience of working as part of a project team

  • Experience using a CMS (Content management system) and bulk email tools

  • Able to work independently and to tight deadline

  • Able to work flexible and unsocial hours when required
