The Carbon Disclosure Project is seeking a highly motivated and well-networked individual to work within the Communications and Corporate partnerships team and take a lead on media relations within the organisation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Highly developed writing skills and ability to write articles, website content, press releases, corporate partnerships proposals and marketing documents.
  • Ability to communicate with media and journalists on a regular basis, to explain new stories and generate content in the media.
  • Ability to extend current media strategy and develop new plans to increase media coverage and CDP exposure.
  • Clear understanding of the media and how it works.
  • Developed experience working in PR in the corporate world.
  • Ability to work alone and in a team, with initiative, creativity and tenacity.
  • Good understanding of climate change.
  • Good understanding of the corporate and investor communities and experience working within the corporate sector.
  • At least 8 years experience in the workplace.
  • Highly developed research skills and ability to write and support research projects on corporate climate change related issues.

    Successful Applicant will be responsible for

    • CDP Media relations and input into strategic planning
    • Leading on CDP media outreach and building relationships with key media contacts
    • Working pro-actively with media on a regular basis to generate maximum coverage of CDP stories
    • Involvement in wider communications projects
    • Writing articles for publication in global media outlets, proposals and press releases.
    • Support on writing / generation of material relevant to CDP brand, eg presentations, marketing material
    • Supporting other departments on generation of written content

This is a full time permanent position based in the London head office.

Salary: £30,000

Benefits: Annual bonus, 24 days holiday, non contributory pension provision after 3 months employment, life assurance 4* salary.
