Applications are invited for the position of Media Adviser to support Federal Senator for South Australia, Penny Wright in Adelaide.
The Media Adviser will manage the relationship between the Senator and the media by providing advice about presentation, messaging and strategy, producing materials and developing relationships with the media in Canberra and locally.
Although previous media experience would be helpful, it is not essential. Excellent strategic thinking and interpersonal skills, capacity to understand the media environment quickly and work under pressure would be strong indications of an aptitude for this position.
This position will involve extensive travel and irregular hours. A commencing salary of between $57,557 - $60,570 plus an allowance of up to $13,902 in lieu of overtime is payable.
