Position: Veteran Community Leader This position has been approved for the use of GI Bill Benefits! Program and Position Overview: MCC is dedicated to accomplishing outdoor recreation and conservation projects for the public, promoting and managing volunteer opportunities, providing conservation education, building self-esteem and leadership, and raising the aspirations of members and volunteers. Veteran Community Leaders begin their term of service with the MCC in an 11-week training program designed to leverage existing leadership talents and develop new skills. Upon completion of training, Veteran Community Leaders are placed individually with Maine federal, state or non-profit organizations to perpetuate the MCC’s mission by recruiting and training volunteers, accomplishing conservation projects and continually developing personal skill sets. Location: The MCC office is located inHallowell,Maine. Training typically takes place in the Hallowell area. After training, Veteran Community Leaders are placed at service sites throughout Maine Time Commitment:
