ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
DUTIES:
1. Travel to preserves throughout Maryland that need invasive species control. When invasive species are found, record their locations using a handheld GPS with TNC’s WIMS software.
2. Control invasive species using herbicide applied by backpack sprayers and hand tools.
3. Maintain tools and equipment including herbicides.
4. Report regularly to conservation steward via written trip reports and by phone.
5. As needed, travel to sites throughout Maryland to post boundaries, place or paint signs, maintain trails, and perform other custodial maintenance.
6. As requested, lead field trips and volunteer workdays at the sites.
