The Position

The Marketing Manager will assist the Affinity Marketing team in creating strategic partnerships and channel initiatives that drive efficient customer acquisition. This new role will drive grass roots lead generation through activation of our non-profit members by creating and executing new points of member engagement (virtual fundraisers, community events, social media etc). This role will build upon our flagship non-profit marketing programs, enhancing existing marketing & communications and building creative new lead generation platforms. This is a tremendous opportunity to be a driver of a significant portion of Sungevity’s business. This role reports to the Director, Affinity Marketing. This position works cross functionally with the inside sales team, the loyalty marketing team, the affinity marketing team, and the Customer Experience Officer. This person will have a high level of coordination, but will also manage the details and ensure flawless execution. This individual should be highly motivated and passionate about creating engaging marketing programs while demonstrating a proactive approach to getting things done. The ideal candidate will demonstrate success at turning an idea into a program, and a program into results– this role is a unique blend of creativity, strategy and technology!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute creative points of member engagement to drive leads & sales
  • Provide end-to-end program management including ideation, planning, targeting, member communication, execution and program optimization
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs & events integrate brand and tactical goals and are executed in a timely manner
  • Drive continual improvement and capture best practices for future expansion of winning programs
  • Create and test creative and differentiated scalable strategies, which lead to higher member engagement and increased referral activity
  • Account management of non-profit partner programs

  • Solid understanding of marketing planning, program development and execution

  • Analytical capabilities and ability to uncover insights in data; you must be able to take unstructured data, analyze it, and communicate findings and recommendations from it


Qualifications experience:

  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in Marketing or other related discipline.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in community organizing, field marketing, and/or customer engagement. Expert in driving socialization and mobilization.
  • Must show attention to detail, have the ability to meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Project management experience and proven ability to manage multiple projects
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Creative problem-solver who works well independently as well as part of a team
  • Passion for solar industry preferred
  • Non-profit experience a plus
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, high growth start up environment.
