The Wilderness Society (TWS), a national non-profit membership organization dedicated to protecting wilderness and inspiring Americans to care for our wild places, recognizes the importance of nurturing a new generation of individuals who have a commitment to environmental causes and a passion for wilderness preservation. Our Internship Program is designed with that in mind. The program allows interns to expand their knowledge of environmental issues, apply academic knowledge in a real life situation, and learn new skills which will enhance future career options.

The Wilderness Society’s marketing program seeks to engage diverse new audiences with the crucial work of conservation through an exciting national marketing campaign called my wilderness that highlights personal reflections and stories from families, individuals, and celebrities. The national campaign incorporates media outreach, interactive media, online channels, and corporate partnerships.

Our marketing internship will offer a chance to learn more about online engagement, cause marketing partnerships, and data-driven messaging. The opportunity to sharpen marketing campaign design and market research skills—using Convio, Google Analytics, and Facebook Insights to measure real-world results.
