Climate change is now widely accepted as the largest long-term environmental problem facing humanity and its major cause is carbon dioxide emissions from energy use. A not-for-profit organisation formed in 1992, we've rapidly become a leading figure in the fight to address climate change. Our aim is to promote sustainable energy, while reducing consumption and carbon emissions in the domestic and transport sectors throughout the UK.

Marketing Executive – Transport & Network
Circa £24,000 depending on experience + excellent benefits

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of marketing activity in Scotland in the area of Transport and the advice network, ensuring all activity is well planned, driven by research and insight, clearly measurable and focussed on achieving the Energy Saving Trust’s organisational targets.

The main responsibilities for this post include:

  • Coordinate and undertake network marketing activity in Scotland
  • Manage spend and ensure best value for money;
  • Work with the Consumer team to ensure regionalisation is considered and regional versions are communicated to the network;
  • Support the Marketing Manger – Transport and Network in the development and delivery of EST’s Scottish campaigns specifically for Eco driving, Renewables and Business Initiatives;
  • Successfully manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters and flyers and digital communications.
  • Effectively write and proofread copy and liaising with designers and printers.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including the wider Customer Insight team, Development and Delivery, Energy Saving Trust advice centres and key external stakeholders and partners
  • Day to day management of the Scottish Print agency in conjunction with agency manager.

To be successful in this post, you will have:

  • Knowledge of a range of marketing principles and communications disciplines including design, print, direct marketing and digital;
  • Solid copywriting and proof-reading skills;
  • Strong understanding and practical experience of digital marketing and writing for the web & Proven experience of Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Strong communication skills including ability to provide input and feedback in a constructive manner;
  • The enthusiasm to learn and a desire to develop marketing and communications skills/knowledge;
  • Experience of co-ordinating a range of marketing communications projects from initial brief to completion;
  • A higher education qualification (e.g. degree) and experience in managing agencies and digital marketing.
