RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In conjunction with staff and board, formulate and implement development and marketing plans to support the mission and goals of Glen Helen.
- Work with the Glen Helen Executive Director, and Development Committee to coordinate and meet annual giving, planned giving, membership, and capital campaign goals for each fiscal year.
- Coordinate marketing and public relations activities for Glen Helen
- Coordinate production of Glen Helen publications, including the newsletter, annual report, brochures, annual calendar
- Work with staff, board members and volunteers to plan and organize events.
- Produce and coordinate dissemination of flyers, notices, press releases, and other promotional materials for events in the Glen.
- Coordinate updates to glenhelen.org web site.
- Develop and promote opportunities for site rentals within Glen Helen, including creating promotional materials, and designing and implementing strategies for expanding facility rental use.
- Coordinate day and weekend rentals of Glen Helen facilities for weddings, meetings, memorials, and other events.
- Provide support to earned income activities of Glen Helen Association, including the Nature Shop.
- Additional responsibilities, as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of one year of fundraising, public relations, event planning or related experience required. Must possess interest, understanding and commitment to the mission and vision of Glen Helen. Outstanding communication and organization skills required. Must possess the capacity to work easily, effectively, and diplomatically with a wide range of people, and with minimal supervision. Bachelor’s degree required. Computer proficiency essential, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Website design experience, knowledge of publishing software, and database programs such as FileMaker helpful. Flexibility in schedule essential as some evening and weekend work required.
Salary: $28,000 to $32,000, plus benefits
