Sandbag Climate Campaign is a UK based not-for-profit campaigning organisation dedicated to achieving real action to tackle climate change and currently focused on the issue of emissions trading. Our view is that if emissions trading can be implemented correctly, it has the potential to deliver the deep cuts in carbon emissions the world so badly need to prevent the impacts of anthropogenic climate change.
We are currently looking for a marketing and communications intern to help us three days a week with a membership engagement project. This role is ideally suited to someone with some marketing experience who wishes to gain experience in the environmental sector.

Job Description:

  • Undertake research to develop a better understanding of our members.
  • Support our web developer in designing a new online communication strategy.     
  • Review and develop our customer service provision.
  • Support and improve our online and social media presence.

 
Key Attributes:

  • A keen interest in climate change and related issues.
  • Experience in marketing, market research and communications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member and on his/her own initiative when the situation demands.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic!

 
The internship would normally last for 3 months minimum. It is unpaid however reasonable travel cost will be refunded and a meal allowance of £10/day will be provided.
