SALARY: £18096
CONTRACT: Full-time, fixed term to cover maternity leave
BASED AT: Occombe Farm, Paignton, TQ3 1RN

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our People Team at the Trust.  We are a local conservation charity caring for the most important wildlife and heritage sites in Torbay including Berry Head National Nature Reserve, Occombe Farm and Cockington Country Park.  We deliver an incredibly varied range of activities including education, recreation and conservation with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

This role is vital in getting our message across to key audiences.  You will be responsible for delivering a range of promotional and marketing activities including advertising, print media, social media, websites, press releases and event publicity.  The nature of our work and its diversity means that we are never short of things to communicate to our customers, members, local residents, volunteers and the media.  No two days will be the same.

In this role you will be required to work occasional weekends and Bank Holidays.

About you

Your background is in communications and marketing and you’ll have proven experience of writing clear and engaging content for press releases, print editorial, newsletters and websites.  You are well organised, good at planning, able to manage multiple priorities and always achieve high standards.  You will be comfortable placing advertising, editing the Trust’s quarterly events diary, maintaining the Trust websites, writing press releases, exploiting social media and dealing face to face with our customers and users.

In this role you’ll need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, due to occasional travel between sites.
