Description

Job purpose

We are looking for an experienced communications professional keen to use their skills to help us expand our community response to the climate crisis.

The postholder will be responsible for delivering a programme of communication, marketing and outreach activities within a defined geographical area, with the aim of recruiting and supporting households to participate in an EU-funded project being delivered in the UK by Bath & West Community Energy. The project enables householders to minimise peak electricity demand and so reduce carbon emissions and make it easier to accommodate more renewables on the grid.

For a full job profile and application form, please go to our website at www.bwce.coop/bwce-jobs where you will be able to download more details.

Location: Home working preferred, but located with easy access to the Wells, Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury, Street area. See job profile for more details.

Bath & West Community Energy

BWCE is a local not for profit, Community Benefit Society. Since launching in 2010 BWCE has built over 12 MW of community owned solar power systems and one small hydro scheme, enough power to meet the equivalent annual electricity demand of around 4,000 homes. For more information see www.bwce.coop.

BWCE is working to put people at the heart of the energy transition, placing ownership and control of energy in the hands of consumers, via clean energy projects that actively involve and benefit local communities.

We are an equal opportunities employer and are keen to develop a team that is more representative of the communities we serve.
