Marketing & Communications Manager

Environmental and social regeneration charity Groundwork London is looking for a Communications and Marketing Manager to improve the profile and visibility of Groundwork London.

As a member of our senior management team, you will have the opportunity to play a leading role in shaping and delivering our marketing, communication and PR activities across our three main areas of work: Creating Better Places, Improving People’s Prospects and Greener Living & Working.

You will be an established, hands-on marketing or communciations professional with direct experience of shaping and delivering marketing and communications strategies for external clients and funders, and of creating a broad range of cost-effective tactical, reactive and brand campaigns across print, broadcast and events. Experience in CMS, website and content production, and in shaping and implementing integrated digital strategies are essential.

Leading a team of four, you will oversee and coordinate all project communications and PR activity, working closely with our community, youth, landscape, employment and environmental services teams; being guardian of our Groundwork brand whilst meeting the communications needs of our partners, funders and clients.

You will need strong people, communication and organisation skills as you will be building relationships with, and pitching wide-ranging concepts and stories to journalists, project partners and other stakeholders on a regular basis. You will be at the forefront of showcasing compelling human interest stories from the organisation’s broad remit of work.
