Overview/Description: Develops strategies for entry of our product and services into a specific marketplace. The target market will be municipal and cooperative electric utilities; with a focus on providing a demand response product solution set. Responsible for successfully driving revenue in collaboration with Product Development and Account Executives personnel in this marketplace. Is responsible for identifying marketing strategies and product positioning in conjunction with sales channels. In addition to identifying new potential customers, interacts with existing customers to increase sales of the organization's products and/or services. Builds relationships with clients and educates internal solutions team on client's business, challenges and priorities to affect a successful sales cycle. Provides support to customers over the phone and may conduct field visits as necessary. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Individual works under general supervision, but must be largely self-directed. Creativity and latitude is required.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
- Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in marketing and market development.
- Analytical and problem solving skills; specifically, the ability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex customer business problems
- Aptitude for energy systems
- Working knowledge of financial analysis activities
- Leadership skills and experience
Desired Experience:
- Market development experience with municipalities and co-operatives is preferred.
- Familiarity with electric utility business models and products/services.
- Established network of business related contacts
