| Description |
This project strives to save endangered leatherback and green turtles with the help of international volunteers. Tasks include patrolling the beaches at night for turtles, manning the hatchery and releasing hatchlings. The project also offers volunteer kitchen positions for individuals with vegetarian cooking experience. Marine turtle volunteers pay a daily fee and cooks receive complimentary board and lodging. VLA members receive a US$10 per day discount for the conservation program between the months of March and August. |
