Closing date: 12noon, 22 August 2011 A coalition of 8 non-governmental organisations consisting of Friends of the Earth, Northern Ireland Environment Link, National Trust, RSPB, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, WWF NI, Ulster Wildlife Trust, and Irish Whale and Dolphin Group seek to appoint a: Marine Technical Support Officer This full-time post comes at a crucial time for influencing the development and implementation of marine legislation in Northern Ireland. The post holder will provide scientific expertise and policy support to the campaign for a Marine Bill, Marine Protected Areas and improved fisheries management in Northern Ireland. This post represents an excellent opportunity to bring about real change in relation to NI’s marine environment and a chance to work with a wide range of environmental organisations and stakeholders. If you are a self starter, have experience of working diplomatically and are passionate about the marine environment, contact us for an application pack.
