MARINE PROTECTION INTERNSHIP, CAMBODIA

Get the skills and experience you need to get a head start working in Marine Conservation. During this unique Marine Protection Internship you will:

• Train to PADI Divemaster
• Learn specialised Reef Check underwater survey methodologies and study coral, fish and invertebrate identification as part of the Marine Science Training Programme
• Collect important data that will inform the creation of a new Marine Protected Area
• Have Khmer Language lessons and be immersed in local customs and culture
• Boost your CV and Expedition Leadership skills

Shallow Waters’ aim is the development of a community led coral reef management programme, with the long term goal of aiding the creation of Cambodia’s second MPA. Living on a remote island, away from the tourist trail, will give you a genuine Cambodian experience. Interns will get to know the community quickly through regular English lessons, volleyball games and environmental education days.
