RSPB Scotland is recruiting a new Marine Policy Officer to develop and promote our policies on the protection of seabirds and sustainable development of our seas, including the network of Marine Protected Areas and Scotland's emerging marine planning system. The postholder will secure major gains for marine conservation in Scotland through advocacy with the Scottish Parliament, Scottish Government, statutory bodies and marine industries including fishing and renewable energy.
Applicants should have degree or degree-level experience in a relevant discipline, eg environment, conservation, marine ecology or fisheries management, and experience of political analysis and advocacy related to marine nature conservation.
